Understanding this concept is fundamental for our young family. Theo can have days where he feels really anxious and it’s debilitating for him. He can’t leave the house. He is not making a choice, he physically can’t. Our home is his safe space.

Growing up I was always told ‘there’s no such word as can’t’. Unsurprisingly, that phrase so longer exists in our home. 

This design is super important to me. I’m still learning how to understand anxiety, but I already know that it means Theo can’t do things sometimes, even if he would really love to and that’s okay. We’ll take one day at a time and see how we go.
